We will meet you at your hotel or chalet on your first night in resort to say hello, talk about the walks and give you your snowshoes.
Some days have excellent restaurants to stop at for lunch. The price of these meals is not included. Average meals cost 15€.
Sometimes we use chairlifts or cable cars to reach the beginning of walks. The cost of these is not included and amounts to about 20€ per person per week.
You will need to arrange your own personal travel insurance which must include 'off piste rescue' but does not need to include 'search and rescue' which can be much more expensive. We recommend speaking to a real person to ensure you get the insurance you need.
Adventurous groups may wish to attempt routes which require the use of avalanche transceivers, shovels and probes. The cost of these is not included and is about 30€ per day.
You should dress as if you were going skiing including sunglasses or ski goggles but be prepared to get hot and to strip off layers as snowshoeing is more aerobic than skiing!
